From Rejection to Real Connection

Being an only child, I’ve always longed for a sense of belonging. My friends have always felt more like family—but that didn’t mean it was always easy.
Like many of us, I’ve put myself out there only to be met with rejection. I’ve built walls and had to work through them just to try again.
If that’s you, don’t let rejection keep you from finding your people. Don’t let it stop you from making connections, because someone out there needs the exact light you bring.

Every woman in these photos shines a unique light, and I’m so grateful to stand among them.
For me, big social settings are both exciting and overwhelming for my ADHD brain. I want to be everywhere at once, soaking it all in, connecting with everyone. But what a special, elevated opportunity this was—to be shooting for TIME Magazine with the 25 founders of Olive Tree People.
This is the first TIME shoot for this company, but it won’t be the last. Thomas elevates not just his company, but the women & men who drive it forward.

Next year, new faces will step into this opportunity, and their lives will be forever changed. How beautiful is that?
