Leadership Isn't About Being the Spotlight

There was a time when I thought leadership meant having all the answers.

Being confident. Being the loudest voice in the room. Being the one everyone looked to.

But the more I've grown, in business, motherhood, and life, the more I've realized that's not what leadership is at all.

Real leadership isn't about being the spotlight.

It's about creating more lights.

The Best Leaders Know When to Step Forward—and When to Step Aside

We often picture leaders as the ones standing at the front of the room, speaking into a microphone or making every decision.

But some of the most impactful leaders I've ever met don't need the attention.

They know when to step forward and guide the way, and they know when to step aside so someone else can discover what they're capable of.

Leadership isn't about proving yourself.

It's about helping other people believe in themselves.

Stand Beside People, Not Above Them

I've never wanted to build something where people feel like they have to depend on one person.

Instead, I want to build a community where every woman feels seen, encouraged, and equipped to grow.

Leadership isn't about standing above people.

It's about standing beside them.

Sometimes all someone needs is another person who says, "I believe you can do this."

That simple encouragement can completely change the trajectory of someone's confidence.

Leadership Multiplies

One of my favorite things about mentoring women is watching them step into strengths they didn't even realize they had.

That's what leadership should do.

It shouldn't stop with one person's success.

It should create opportunities for others to grow, lead, and eventually help someone else do the same.

Every conversation matters.

Every example matters.

Every opportunity to encourage someone matters.

Because leadership isn't something you keep.

It's something you multiply.

Encouragement and Accountability Can Both Be Love

Sometimes leadership looks like celebrating someone's wins.

Other times, it looks like having the difficult conversations.

Real leaders don't avoid accountability.

They lovingly challenge people because they know they're capable of more.

Encouragement without growth can leave people stuck.

Accountability without encouragement can leave people discouraged.

The healthiest leadership includes both.

Success Isn't Measured by How Many People Follow You

If you're the only one succeeding...

You're not creating leaders.

You're creating dependence.

To me, true leadership is measured by how many people become confident enough to lead themselves—and then help someone else do the same.

That's the ripple effect that changes families, businesses, friendships, and entire communities.

A Culture Where Everyone Rises Together

The strongest leader in the room isn't always the one talking the most.

Sometimes it's the one quietly making sure everyone else has a chance to shine.

That's the kind of culture I want to be part of.

A place where women encourage each other.

Celebrate each other's wins.

Offer honest accountability.

Share what they've learned.

And genuinely want to see each other succeed.

Because one light can absolutely illuminate a path.

But when everyone carries a light, there's no limit to how far we can go.

Strong individually.

Brighter together.

At the end of the day, leadership isn't measured by what you build.

It's measured by the lives you positively impact.

And I truly believe a rising tide lifts all boats.
