Taking Care of Yourself Is Worth It 🤍

Updated: Aug 6
Can I be honest with you for a minute?
I recently started going to therapy, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made for myself.
For a long time, I got really good at compartmentalizing. I'd push difficult emotions aside, tell myself I was "fine," and keep moving because life doesn't slow down. Between motherhood, work, relationships, and everything else, it felt easier to put those feelings in a box than actually face them.
But those boxes don't stay closed forever.
Therapy has helped me realize that healing isn't about pretending the hard things never happened. It's about giving yourself permission to feel them, process them, and move forward without carrying so much weight.
It's not always easy. Some sessions leave me feeling lighter, and others leave me emotionally exhausted. But every single one has reminded me that taking care of my mental health is just as important as taking care of my physical health.
We spend so much time investing in everyone else—our families, our careers, our friends—that we often forget to invest in ourselves.
You are worthy of that investment.
Whether therapy is part of your journey or your version of self-care looks different, I hope you'll choose yourself. Ask for help when you need it. Give yourself grace. Let yourself heal instead of simply surviving.
You don't have to carry everything alone.
If you've been thinking about taking that first step, consider this your little reminder that you're worth it.
Always.
I'd love to know, what's something you've done recently to take care of yourself?
xoxo Migs
